Our capable mathematics department under Mr. Jordan ' s leadership ably pre- pares our students in a field which is ever increasing in importance. We appreciate the extra study and effort spent in bring- ing modern topics and concepts to our more traditional background. As students in the various science classes, we have explored a world of ideas, pursued many problems, and dis- covered reality in fundamental principles. With the guidance of the science teach- ers and their constant demands for progress, we have learned to investigate and search for ourselves and we have developed reflective reasoning. They have also taught us how research and technical methods can be employed.

HISTORY AND SOCIAL STUDIES None of us could comprehend our com- plex world of today without the basic knowl- edge given us by our history and social studies teachers. As we entered high school, we were just beginning to recognize our duties as American citizens; now, as we prepare to face responsibility as adult citizens, we have a better understanding of that Democracy for which we are responsible. This senior group is discussing one of the many problems of democracy. 13
