In classes of sheet metal, wood shop, and machine shop, the boys work on various projects after basic instruction on triachines and hand tools. Work periods, augmented by tests, lectures, and film strips, help give students a well - rounded background in manual skills. Mr. Walter Herrick and Mr. Renato Paolini. This learning is not restricted to girls alone. During the past year our boys organized their own class, The Baker ' s Dozen. William Meuse and Norman Winsom work on a project in metal shop. Problems involving thinking, planning, observ- ing, and experimenting are under- taken under the guidance of Mrs. Baker to develop skills and apprecia- tion. Many students participate in crafts such as silver work, ceramics, enameling, and block printing. Mrs. Baker gives special help fo artists Doreen Healy, Bettina Kemp, and Robert Brannen. Our library is an excellent facility for study or reference work. Guided by our librarian, Mrs. Pearl Winter, or by one of the student library aides, here we may find books on all subjects, career pamphlets, magazines, newspapers, and college catalogues.
