Lack of depth figured prominently As practice began in September, fans and players alike looked forward to a successful season. The team seemed to justify this op- timism as it lost a close game to Melrose, Class B champs, in the opener. However, in- juries early in the season revealed a lack of depth so necessary for a winning team. Despite all obstacles the boys, led by Bob Manson and Frank DelTergo, made a deter- mined effort to win. Frank Muse provided some thrills with several long runs. Francis Pignone, captain-elect, also was a standout. Bob Monson ' s kickoffs went high and deep. 1 V B i First row, left to right: Coach Hoyt, E. Casobian, F. Muse, R. Faulkner, T. Donovan, J.
