Many of the Freshmen wanted to stay at SMH for several reasons. At a larger school they have the opportunity to meet many new people of different ages, they can participate in the pep ral- lies, and at SMH they don't feel as isolat- ed as they did at SMH ll. On the other hand, some Freshmen wanted to retum to SMH ll. One reason is that at SMH ll they can sit in class and occasionally glance out the windows. Obviously, they are unable to do that at SMH. Also, SMH ll is much less crowded than SMH. Even though there are differing opinions about SMH and SMH ll, one thing is clear: whether upper-or under-class- men, all SMH students have awesome Pirate Spirit.
