he Drama Club this year performed two plays. Agnes of God was a one-act play pre- sented in October at SMHS. Agnes of God won best play for the 7AAAA Region competition. Agnes of God also received standing ovations, the ultimate compliment for an actor. Arsenic and Old Lace finished off the year for the Drama Club. A student-directed play has been a tra- dition at SMHS, and this year the chore went to Sheri Boritz. Arsenic and Old Lace's cast did have to put up with a lot of technical glitches, which included, but were not limited to practicing in the Commons one of the main actor s moving away in November and the Stairs of Doom which nearly ended actors ca- reers and their mtemal organs As part of the Arsenic and Old Lace set was recy- cled from the Agnes of God scenery set construction was not a pretty sight- seven inch pieces of wood that woucln t fit those pesky pncetags and the diiiiculty of plugging in an electric appliance BUT THE SHOW WENT OHV!!!
