The event that the Science Team prepared for all year was the Science Olympiad The close to 50 members worked hard to top last year s Science Team which placed tenth in the Olyrn piad thanks to strong showings by Russ Belt and Joe Delekto Russ and Joe piaoed tirst in Re glonai and second in State for computer programming Russ also placed third in Regionai and second in State in the category of periodic tabie. SCIENCE CLUB When asked what the Science Club objectives for 1988 were, sponsor Mr. Buckelew replied, to have fun. The club with its over 80 members did just that. The main excursion planned was the trip to Washington, D.C.., in the spring where members could visit the Smithsonian Institute.
