11 lt STUDENT COUNCIL The 1987-88 school year carried an ac- tive agenda for the members of the Stone Mountain Student Council and their spon- sors Mrs. Cain and Miss Cobb. They were particularly honored to be the coordinator for the fourth district of Georgia. Another success the Student Council enjoyed was having several members elected to the Hon- or Council for outstanding leadership during the summer convention at Berry College. As usual, the Council provided their ser- vice to the community. They raised money for the Empty Stocking Fund to buy gifts for needy children. They also gave parties at Trinity Day Care for housing project kids. Besides receiving honors and helping the community, the Student Council was natu- rally involved with activities at Stone Moun- tain High School. They were responsible for the school store which sells school supplies at discount prices. They were also in charge of organizing the Powder Puff Football game. But the task that Student Council will be most appreciated for was the sponsoring ofthe many dances they held throughout the year. 102 .5 i l 1 1 pi .gg Student Council - Seniors I First Row: Sue Sanders, Steece Ginn, Wendy Hamby, Tara DeRock, Tammy Austin.
