Standing beside their first place projects are Kelvin Sherman and Vince Pachel. The Latin Club has come through this year with picnics, club meetings, plays and its annual Roman Banquet. Preparations for the banquet include auctioning first year Latin students as slaves to Latin Il students. The '77 banquet was held in Mrs . Breland's back yard where the don1ini were served an elegant Roman meal by the lowly ' 'servi' ' . Of course no one could attend without wearing the traditional Roman attire . Face to face the opponents begin the Powder Puff game. IV- ' if 1. 1 H The camera catches Mrs. Hollingsworth as she reads Martha Morphew's palm at the Mini Carnival. The official communication between students and administration is provided by the Student Council. Each homeroom elects one person out of their homeroom to represent them in Student Cotmcil affairs. These elected students all unite to make a student voice in the school government. This year the Student Council of Stone High School provided many entertaining activities both to raise money and promote ' 'school spirit. ' ' The annual Halloween Mini Carnival took place on the 31st of October. The Student Council also challenged the Speech and Drama Club to a Powder Puff football game which was held on the football field at the Home Community Center in Big Level. It was a tremendous success. The score varied from time to time and excitement was high. Both teams battled for victory but in the end neither team came out on top. This club, consisting of French I1 students, was able to visit New Orleans and see the King Tut exhibit along with a tour of the French Quarter.
