lin- il l ,,.s,u ggi ,, Director. jerelene jones STO E HIGH SEXTET We're 41 was the slogan of many signs that lined the Walls of Stone High. Why was this? One of the reasons was that Stone High Choir made Superior in the S.S.A. division competing against schools from Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana at the first annual Gulf Coast Choral Festival. Besides being rated Superior, the choir also proudly brought back the trophy for the best S.S.A. group. Within the choir, there are two small groups, the sextet and ensemble, composed of the best singers among the choir, who perform for club meetings, dinners, and are a special treat during concert time . After all the rehearsals and time spent on learning new songs , the choir is ready for the many events that come its way. Some of these events include State Choir trips, District VIII Choral Festival, Chrisunas and spring concerts, singing tours, and school performances. Stone High has been fortunate to have Mrs. Jerelene jones as choral director over the past five years. Under her direction the Stone High Choir has won many distinguished awards.
