With Susan Swilley's assistance, Mr. Williams issues a brand new band uniform to Kenneth Brown' The Stone High Band just seems to get better and better. Not only has it had superior ratings in the past two years. at marching festivals, but this year the 1977-78 band proudly brought home trophies for the auxiliary corps and its overall marching performances in Marching Festivals. This was quite a great feat for a band of only 43 members . No one can really imagine all the work that goes into making a band such as this. That is, unless you're a part of the endless practice sessions, the hectic concerts, the routines on muddy football fields , or unless you're a parent of a band student. But undoubtedly not one band member would be willing to give up the good times spent on band trips, the feeling of being a great success at contests, or the fun and excitement that only SHS Band members know.
