Campbell Suzette Cannon Aaron Clayton Raising and showing cattle comes natural for Susan Swilley, freshman. She has three dairy cows of her ovm, including Beauty with whom she won first place in this year's county fair. Over the years, Susan has won a number of ribbons and nine trophies at county, state, district and even the Dixie National Fair. Sponsored by the local 4-H Club she leams how to go about this special hobby. Like before going to the State Fair in jackson, Susan had to reserve the whole day before just to wash, dry and brush her cow and even give her a haircut and manicure. It must be worth it because Susan earned a first place trophy in Showmanship for her time and work spent on her cow. College Campus presented the musical The Sound of Music. ' ' Fifteen people from Stone County tried out for the parts of the Von Trapp Children but only seven were selected. Among those who were selected at Stone High were Freshmen, Keri Clement and Carol Rogers, and one Senior, Lynn Clement. These girls spent many late night hours over several weeks rehearsing and learning their parts. When asked what they enjoyed most about puting on the play they both agreed that the DO RE MI scene was the most fun in practice and the final performance .
