1975-76 JUNIOR SENIOR PROM The Seniors knew some- thing was up the day all the Juniors were called into the gym and came out smiling smugly at each other. After couple of hours, the secret was out--we were going to have a prom! The Juniors got busy and sold magazines like crazy. They raised in excess of S3000 which was what they were aim- ing for. This was the first class to reach its goal. Meanwhile, our junior spon- sors, Nlrs. Webb and Nlrs. Shaw, were busily calling some of the fanciest hotels on the coast getting prices on a room for the big event. When they saw the oallroom of the Biloxi Hilton, they knew that this was the place. We would settle for nothing less than the best for our prom. The Grand Casino of the Hilton was reserved for us. Thanks to the Alabama Truck- ers Association, who wanted it that night, we were given in- stead the Grand Ballroom. No other high school had ever been allowed to use this room be- fore. . Attired for the occasion, stu- dents and faculty dance to the music of Obrion. The sign of the Biloxi Hilton greets the Juniors and Seniors as they arrive at the 1975-76 l Prom. 1
