AFTER HOURS ttir T ' Finally it's here, the 3:00 bell and students are headin' out. Some go home, some go to work, and some even stay at school for reasons such as Basketball, Football, Cheer- leading, Band, or Baseball practice. There are ocasional club meetings after school too. On the weekends, students go to the Coast to catch the latest movie or to 2001 to do some of the latest dances. 0ne thing that is for sure, SHS students really stay busy after school hours. BOOTS GAUCHOS SWEATERS Boots were the big news on the fashion scene this year. Coming in various styles from western dingos to the vogue variety, boots were made or wearing and that's just what we did--with gauchos, rolled up jeans, and knee-length skirts. Other hot items in fashion for both girls and boys were rugby shirts and sweaters. With their bright stripes, rugby shirts added a bit of color to everyday school life. An unusual y cold winter created instant popularity for sweaters. They were designed with everything from decorative scenes to boldly patterened stripes. Worn with the ever popular jeans, sweaters enabled us to tolerate the lowered thermostats. Rounding out the fashion scene for '77 were jumpsuits for girls and beltless slacks for guys. ln a year of no fads, our varied fashions more than filled the gap. Rugby shirts, overalls, and tennis shoes were oaular this ear as shown by 'lpracy lilickman, Pam Easterling and Ricky Bates.
