HOMECOMING 1976 Stone High's 1976 Home- coming activities actually started long before the presentation and coronati on of the Homecoming Queen on October 22. Even though the date for Homecoming had been changed three times, many plans were already being put under way. As traditionally done, the football team chose the Home- coming Queen. Then a long week of voting by the Student Body and finally the Homecom- ing Court was chosen. Sue Owen is crowned Home- coming Queen by lVlr. Lester Baucum and escorted by Bruce Lott. ,

SENIOR M The long awaited week of Homecoming finally arrived . Things started a little slowly, but as the dance tickets went on sale and the special acti- vities planned for the week got underway, spirit seemed to rise throughout the school. Although the teachers did their best, the undercurrent of excitement in the school made classwork impossible. The Annual Staff sponsored the Spirit Chain Contest. Each morning students emptied their pockets of pennies, nickels, and dimes to buy links to prove that their class had the most spirit.
