Bre an S ' Latin students are very active in the spring during Foreign Langauge Week. At the end of the week a Roman banquet is held in the cafeteria. Students dress up in the style of the early Ro- mans and dine on ham and baked beans. First year students serve as slaves to the second year students. Latin students also work on projects to take to Foreign Language Day at Jackson State. 39

Breland French students participate in many activi- ties throughout the year. During Foreign Lan- guage week, they have a banquet where French foods are served and a short program is given. The Beta Club is a service club that is composed of students with a B or higher average. At State Convention this year, Susan Holmes ran for State Vice-President. On Talent Night at the Convention, ten Beta Club members presented a partially original skit entitled, Jenny Finds Happiness. Beta Club members were also active this year in the annual IVlarch of Dimes drive and in raising money to help finance their trip to State Convention. 40 l
