.'x,X ?, YANKEE STATION Yankee Station is a different world-a different way of doing things-a different war. The Navy operates three attack carriers and one support carrier on station at all times. With escorts and supply ships, they make up the mightiest fleet in existence. Yankee Station is like living at the end of the runway of one of the world's busiest airports. The jets scream in day and night, the radio is never quiet, and there is scarcely time to draw breath before the next evolution.
