BILL WOODY F F A av Secretary hw Annual Staff Dramatrcs Club Class Vrce Presrdent Presrdent Class Play xg, Football Baseball SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY It was just two year ago that I frrst read rn a newspaper about the long lost treasure of Prrate Cove and decrded to try my luck at ftndrng rt I outfrtted a shrp and soon was sarlrng over the boundrng marn The second day out we began to run low on fuel so we pulled rnto shore and I walked to the nearest frllrn stat ron There were two young men bustlrng about the statron and to my surprrse they turned out to be Wrlbur Do d and Vrrgrl Heston Wrlbur told me that he was marrred and had srx chrldren but Vrrgrl sard tha he was strll lookrng After drscoverrng thatl could not buy any fuel here I stopped to have a chat wrth the proprretor of the Acme Locker Plant and soon realrzed that I was talkrn wrth Dwarn Cotten Whrle chattrng wrth Dwarn I was surprrsed to see my frrst mate comrng down the street He rn ormed me that a tanker had come up alongsrde our vessel and that we now had a plentrful supply of fuel Hastrly brddrng farewell to Dwarn I returned to the shrp Before long I began to suffer from that worst enemy of the landlubber seastckness I must have passed out be cause the next thrng I remembered I was lyrng rn a hosprtal room Whom should I see come walkrng rnto my room but Dorothy Burmester Jo Ann Grllespre and Beverly Gassett three of the prettrest nurses I ever saw? I was released from the hosprtal the next day and decrded to spend the nrght at a local hotel Upon enterrng the lobby I was met by a sprrghtly bcllboy who took my bags and escorted me to my room As I placed a trp rn hrs hand I realrzed that rt was J E Rams' On my way back to the shrp I happened to walk past the bus depot and met Wanda Fowler who was on her way to Cuba to be wrth her husband Pearson Jones Two peaceful days of sarlrng followed but then we began to run low on fresh water so we dropped anchor and I went rn to see what I could get Three lrttle chrldren were playrng on the shore I asked the oldest boy what hrs name was and he sard that rt was Leon after hrs father Roy Leon Robrson Yes Roy and Audrey Jones had marrred and were lrvrn on the farm They readrly agreed to let us take water from therr well and Roy rnsrsted that we all go frshrng wrth rm and Leon Srnce we had no equrpment Roy took us to the Woody Fly and Frshrng Rod Company Much to my surprrse Ifound that the owner was my old classmate Brll Woody Brll told me that he had started to college had fallen madly rn love had gotten marrred and was now lrvrng on flres We returned to the shrp and began to watch our navrgatron because we thought that we were rn the Prrate Cove re gron But the next day we looked up to see the Golden Gate Brrdge of San Francrsco strarght ahead' Blamrng the frrst mate for not carryrng out my orders I decrded to go ashore and see some of the srghts Everyone seemed to be gorng rn the same drrectron and I drscovered that the teams of two great unrversrtres were gorng to play football I rushed to the stadrum and ot a seat on the frfty yard lrne As the teams came runnrng out on the freld I recognrzed a famrlrar face It was Harry dams but I couldn t tell whether he was a coach or a water boy Lookmg around me at half trme, I found that I was srttrng next to Sam Adams He rnformed me that he was now playrng pro basketball was rnarrred and had a lrttle basketball player about three years old After the game I ran rnto Henry Addrson who was servrng rn the Arr Force He was not by hrmself though Oh no Dorothy was there, too' Henry sard that he lacked only a year and then he would be gorng back to Stockton Brddrng them farewell I dropped rnto a nearby rnsurance offrce to drscuss the lrfe rnsurance I rntended to buy when I found the treasure The salesman was not rn but I talked to hrs attractrve secretary and soon realrzed that she was Bonnell Barton Just as sweet as ever Havrng heard so much about Hollywood I decrded to pay a vrstt there too I sent a message to my shrp to meet me at San Drefgo rn aweek, and I took a southbound bus for Los Angeles As we drove along I kept thrnkrng I recognrzed the drrver an at the next stop I drscovered that he was Elvrn Barton I-Ie rnformed me that Don Routh was drrvrng a bus on another route for the same company As I got off rn L A I ran rnto Kyle Bough who was on hrs way to San Francrsco where he was servrng rn the navy and playrng on a navy basketball team Kyle told me that he frequently saw Jeanette Cantlon Adams who was lrvrng rn San Francrsco and spendrng most of her trme takrng care of Gene Junror sfgff A .. ......... 2-3 . -.
