Christmas 3011 For weeks in advance, there was excitement in the air, and questions of Who are you taking to the Christmas Ball? Then the big day came which brought more excitement than ever. Girls ran around with their hair pinned up, boys discussed the problem of getting the ear for the evening. About 8:00 that evening guests began to arrive. The girls dressed in their formals of net and rustling taffeta of all different colors, the boys in their best suits and minding their Sunday manners. The ball was prepared by the class of '58 and was attended by guests from the student body, faculty, School Board of Education members and special guests were the king and queen attendants of last year, Richard Nelson and Wanda Davidson At 10:30 came the big moment of crowning the King and Queen. They were chosen by the entire student body by putting the desired candidates name on thc back of the tickets they came in the door. King and Queen were: Forrest Thye and Donna Watson Attendants were: Gary Askew and Linda Davidson. The music for dancing was supplied by the Organaires orchestra from Salem, Iowa.
