Physical Education The physical education teachers have unique knowledge and expe¬ rience. Mr. Hora and Mr. Passink teach young students the fundamen¬ tals of physical fitness with the hope that these people will maintain these qualities in the future. Mrs. Heiligmann teaches all of the girls ' gym classes. In addition she coaches the three cheerleading squads. She takes great pride in the outstanding cheerleading groups. Music THE MUSIC IS PUT AWAY ONCE MORE. ONE, TWO, THREE. The music organizations have had a very fruitful year in performances. The band had a new director and under his leadership participated in halftime shows at the football games as well as doing concerts. Miss Stephens has kept the Girls ' Glee Club moving smoothly. They, too have par¬ ticipated in different activities. Miss Pryor has had a very busy year directing the Junior High Chorus and teaching elementary music. The music department has been very much a part of the activities and students wel¬ come the contributions of the bands and vocal groups. THORNBURY Parma High, Parma, Ohio B.S., Michigan State Biology Sophomore Advisor The Science Department has its full comple¬ ment of qualified teachers. Mr. Hoffman lays the foundation of scientific principles for the eighth grade students. From here Mrs. Noble takes the reins and helps the students realize the important role that Science and chemistry play in everyone ' s lives. Mrs. Thornbury has charge of the Biology De¬ partment. Here students learn the basics of life and ecology which are contained within the broad scope of biology. This year an advanced biology class was tried and will be added to the curriculum next year if the results of this class are satisfactory. Mr. Remaley has control over the senior phys¬ ics class. Students have learned and have been exposed to a great deal of the ideas and forces which comprise the study of physics. He has done a fine job of explaining the concept of col¬ lege physics.
