May we, the first students in our new building and the first to carry the name Don- art Highfl set an example for those who fol- low us, as the Pioneers on the frontier and in education set such splendid examples for us.

I O Let us now earnestly and solemnly consecrate this building to its high and holy purpose. May the youth of this community for generations to come gather in this place to receive instruction in knowl- edge and training in virtue. May they find here every condition necessary to a true and enlightened edu- cation. Especially, may their teachers be examples of excellence in scholarship and character. May these rooms always be pervaded with an invigorating at- mosphere of mental and moral life and may no pupil pass from this school to schools of higher learning or to the other world without having been made more intelligent, more thoughtful, more courageous, more virtuous and in every way more capable of useful and noble living. From Dcdicatory Prayer Dedication of new school was held Sept. 25, 1960
