Q I 'vs 'U Douglas Ames-Advisor SENIORS Back: Benjamin Welshons-Class Council, Ronald Sched- Class Council. Front: James Cerellc-President, Patricia Mossicotte-Treasurer, Carol Steindorft-Secretary, Lyle Elmquist-Vice-President. Looking back on the last three years, it seems hard to believe that we seniors have spent our last year in SHS. No longer can we visit with friends at our lockers, try to get up or down the third floor stairs in three minutes, or wait for the bell to ring at 3:36. When we entered this school, the halls seemed barren, but now that graduation is here, the same halls seem so friendly that we are reluctant to leave. Winning the one-act play contest, having fun at the Farmyard Frolic, enjoying ourselves at a roller skating party, and getting used to our new sur- roundings occupied moslt of the time in our sopho- more year. As juniors, we no longer trod in unfamiliar halls, therefore we took a more active interest in our school affairs. For those of us who liked to use our vocal cords, there were both debate and declomotion. We were also interested in journalism, as shown by the fact that all the associate editors of the Arrow and many of the staff members were our fellow class- mates. Athletics took its share of the more able- bodied boys, and for those girls who also liked a little physical exercise, there was G. A. A. Two of the major events of our junior year were the class play, Uncertain Wings, which we enjoyed very much, and the annual prom, which lived up to its theme, Moon- light and Roses. Our senior year was probably the most eventful in our stay at SHS. As before, we showed ability in athletics, speech, dramatics, music, and in the editing of the three publications. Homecoming, the class play-The Great Big Doorstep, senior crazy day, the class picnic, and finally, graduation were some of the highlights of our last year in senior high. No longer shall we enjoy the opportunities or fel- lowship we have had here in school, but we know that as we go on our way through life, the events of these years will always find ci place in our treasure chest of memories.
