Foreword We have been told that these are the best years of our lives. Perhaps. If they are, the best years of our lives the years of carefree days, friendships, discoveries, and growth — have also been clouded by our awareness of political turmoil and economic instability. We have often hidden in the carefree dreams and joys of youth as one seeks the relief of summer after a long winter and even now cling to the peaceful and joyous memories of school days, but we are not now, nor never were, unaware of the challenges posed by the world surrounding us. We look to our memories, our pasts, with feelings of nostalgia and even regret for their passing, but we anticipate the future with optimisim and hope that our years at Stillwater Central School have prepared us for the challenges that lie ahead. 2
