Rugged fullback Boucher work-horsed his way to the one yard line and then kicked out around right end to score the T.D. with Greg Daigle throwing the key block. The extra point play, which failed, was called back as a result of an interference penalty but again Hoosick Falls stiffened and stopped what proved to be an extremely important extra point attempt. The third period ended with the Warriors leading 14-8. The Hoosiers. unable to sustain any offensive drive throughout most of the contest, finally got it going with about seven minutes left in the contest. Carknard engineered a drive which started on his own 20 yard line. The Warrior secondary, led by Ray Callahan, Greg Daigle and Bochette made three consecutive key defensive plays before the big completion to Greenwood at the two. With nine seconds left, Wyman made his heroic touchdown from three yards out. The Warrior defense held on the extra point attempt to salvage a tie and remain very much in contention in the tight Southern Division.

Students from more that 20,000 public, private and parochial high schools throughout the country are recognized each year for their leadership in academics, athletics, activities or community service in these editions. Fewer that 3 per cent of the junior and senior class students nation-wide are awarded such recognition Burdyl is vice-president of the student council and a member of the National Honor Society and Drama Club. He plans to attend Cornell University or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he will major in architecture. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Burdyl of R.D. 1, Stillwater. 29
