Foreword Wm We have always been told by our parents and other adults that we are living the best years of our lives. This we found hard to believe. How could the problems and struggles we faced during high school ever constitute any part of the best year of our lives? Now as our final year in high school comes to a close, we realize that these times are worth remembering. The world awaiting us holds many new horizons and new friendships, but we will want to look back at our old friends and teachers with whom we have shared our growth toward maturity. Nor do we want to forget the many memorable experiences of high school. We almost wish time would stand still so we could always be together! We realize the impossibility of our wish; therefore, this book portrays for others, and records for us. the times that have formed - the best years of our lives. 2

Yearbook Staff MEMBERS OF THE STAFF: Ellen Nobles - Co-editor Jack Overton - Co-editor Kathy Fitzpatrick Michele Filer Judy Guttridge Elise Ether Colman Kusick Laura Vega Vicky Cargill Kathy Ryan Cindy Hope The staff of the 1969 WARRIOR consisted of eleven hard-working Seniors, who gave up most of their extra time to work on the yearbook. Ellen Nobles and Jack Overton, co-editors of the 1969 WARRIOR, organized the plans and got the staff going. These Seniors worked together, along with their advisor, Mrs. Butler, to produce a yearbook of which the staff and the student body can be proud. Creating the yearbook was a constructive experience which can never be forgotten. 4
