Bunthown (K. Waltman) was being chased by all the young maidens (C. Beiser, C. Helland, S. Klomp, G. Schultz, B. Barthelme, C. Simon, J. Wndt, R. Edge). This greatly anger- ed their boyfriends the Dragoons (C. Fredrickson, D. Walker, D. Malcomson, W. Hoi tan, G. Carlson, T. Jenson, D. Ottemess, L. Haack, J. Cameron.) M. Peitso, D. Dormody, and K. Mullen- bach were his most devoted followers. Duke (L. Bussman), Colonel (B. Rosin), and Major (J. Raygor) could see no reason for this and led the group to gain back their girlfriends. Then when the coolest cat (M. Justus) appeared on the scene, the girls flipped over him. All this time Bunthown was chasing Patience (D. Hel- land) who finally is matched with the cool one-Grovesnor. Then when the maidens went back to their Dragoons, Bunthown had nothing. HOMECOMING’ QUEEN CECELIA 1 Debbie and Danny Our Homecoming festivities opened Thursday afternoon with the crowning of queen Cecelia. Friday brought rain, so the parade was cancelled. However, this did not dampen our spirits. We held a pepfest in the gym and later showed the floats during halftime. The winning floats were, Seniors, 1st, Sophomores, 2nd, and Art Club, 3rd. 54 Cindy and Pat Marjie and Dave Patty and Randy 55 56 THE AMERICAN DREAM Cast: Mommy-Diane Hanson Daddy-Kim Waltman Grandma- Melodie Cottrell Mrs. Barker-Rhonda Nickel Young Man-David Winkels The American Dream, By Edward Al- bee, was performed January 21, 1971 for the District 3 One Act Play Contest in Red Wing. This is now a part of school policy. Student Council also spon- sored a clothing drive, after receiving a request from a family in Asher, Kentucky. Two members of the council, Kim Waltman and Greg Malone, delivered the clothes, personally, to the needy people in that area. This project proved very rewarding. The council also worked to abolish finals for seniors. 66 PEP CLUB 8(4 ?! Yb - ' Bdb Stewartville High School's newest organization is Pep Club. This club was established to help the cheerleaders in promoting school spirit. Each member was required to make signs, take part in planning pepfests, attend athletic activities.
