Class Prophecy Today I have been asked to preside over this very great event in the world of modern inventions. We are introducing Vision-tele, the reverse of Television. We wish to thank JERRY WESTPHAL and his program, Sports Are Here to Stay, for relinquishing their time. After many years of work, study, and research, Professor HILLMAR BITTNER of the University of Stewartville, Minnesota, with the help of Professor WAYNE KIEHNE, has invented this wonderful machine by which people can come to studios and look into towns and homes instead of people looking into a studio from their home. We are now ready to look at you! Our first home is in Stewartville, Minnesota. It is that of LUVERNE C. LECY. (The C stands for Chevrolet). He has about fifteen oil wells in Texas, that is fifteen large enough to count. He is really a fabulous figure in the social circles of this town. Nobel prize winner, DOROTHY SK1BBE, has just completed his life story in three volumes. The next mansion is that of ALDEN (Casanova) STILES, that one and only Brown Beard of the movie world. (He has every room in his home lined with mink). His next movie is called Harem House. The Bamum and Bailey Circus has just taken over new management in Stewartville. The two new owners are KATHY KERICH and her associate JANICE ENGLE. I hear they plan on putting in a hoola-hoop act and doing it themselves. While we're waiting for the show to begin, we see a familiar looking girl who is being introduced as Fi Fi, the new trick bareback rider from the circus, (alias MARILYN HANSON). With her is the new flying trapeze artist. GLEN WILSON. They are telling the gathering crowd that DEAN WELLIK has left the circus for Hollywood to take the place of Gordon Scott as Tarzan, and that DAVID DISTAD went along to be his monkey. Now let's take a look at the Stewartville Theater. As we arrive at the theater, we see a mob of wild, screaming, teenagers who are literally tearing apart the latest big thrill from Hollywood, Frank Sinatra II, LARRY GIFFORD. Some are lucky enough to get a lock of his hair. Let's focus in closer and take a look at the billboard. On the billboard we see the words. Keep 'em laughing now and then! Let the gypsy tell you when. And there is one of our schoolchums, JERRY (BoBo) BILLINGS doing a Vaudeville act. A look at the ticket window and we see VICTOR BOLAND selling tickets. I have heard he is working his way through Vassar that way. Let's go inside and see the program. I see that the scenery and gowns have been designed by FLORENCE ROBERTSON. All the musical arrangements have been made by PAT QUANDT, who has started her own orchestra which she calls Quandt's Qramps. Oh! The show is going to begin, and BETTY FRANCIS is going to play a trumpet solo. She has been playing with Harry James for the last few years. The next number on the program is to be sung by AUDREY RE1MERS. It is that great new love song, Two and Two is Four and Four Means I'm For You, written by that great mathematician. PHILIP LARSON, who wrote this song as a result of proving Darwin's theory of evolution with the help of his competent secretary. RITA BISSEN. At the close of the program we'll be entertained by the comedian Dizzy GENE SCHATZ with his latest jokes. Down the street from the theater I notice a barbershop, owned and operated by my senior chum, GENE EDDY. The odd thing about this shop is that it is restricted to red- heads only. To your right you can see the new five-hundred story skyscraper, the tallest building in the world, engineered by KENNY WARREN and CLAYTON LARSON, those two famous business partners who straightened out the leaning tower of Pisa last year. 18

Next to this gigantic building is the entrance to the underground parking lot designed and constructed by BOB FOSS. Above the entrance is the sign, 'Bob's Nighttime Park- ing Lot.’ Selling refreshments for Bob's Parking Lot is. of all people DIANNE TAYLOR! She gets them from MARILYN HOWE'S new drug store across the street. We can over- hear Dianne telling one of the customers that BARB GIFFORD will be along in the morning to clean up Bob's lot after the midnight rush. At Lake Florence Park we see attendants CHARLOTTE BETCHER and HARRIS NELSON building more benches. We focus our attention next on a wrestling bout. JANICE ANDERSON in the star at- traction. I've heard lately that another famous wrestler. IKE AMOS, wrestled Khrush- chev of the U.S.S.R. to show who's boss, naturally, Ike won! If it hadn't been for LUCY McCLELLAN, the John Foster Dulles of the wrestling world, Ike's manager. Ike never would have succeeded. We also see AUDREY KING back with the S.H.S. band. On December 31, 1969, at 11 A.M. she was thrown out of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for breaking too many reeds and never being in place when Mozart was ready to start. With the good old Stewie band, she now plays to her hearts content. Now let's move to one of our neighboring towns. In Grand Meadow we see a mortuary. The sign in the window says: Either up real high, or down real low, you'll need my services before you go. PATRICIA CRANE, your solemn undertaker. Moving to the Hollywood scene we find that CARLA SCHROEDER and CAROL ZIMPRICH have just signed a contract with MGM to scratch the ears of Leo, the roaring MGM lion. I hear he has the most itchy ears in town. You Don't have to be Big to be Famous is the name of the book that made CLAYTON KIRKLAND famous. His next book is going to be Who Needs Muscle Men? On the national scene we see the brave RONALD BOONE take off with the Army's new Jet Propelled Boonesnik to see that President Eisenhower gets his homemade meals at his Gettysburg Farm. Whizzing past Ronnie are LOTTIE and LORETTA LECY. the first women to reach the moon and come back alive. EUGENE MULLENBACH has just broken the sound barrier with his supersonic '51 Hudson. We always knew it would happen SOME day. On leaving the U.S. our first stop is in Alaska, where we see that the latest uranium find has been made by the great geologist DOROTHY ALCOTT. There is a jet pro- pelled railroad, invented and run by BOB BEACH that takes the ore down to the refinery, run by another expert and mathematical wizzard, DELORES EVENSON, who does her math in shorthand. Let's go to Hawaii now. Why, there's a barber shop in Honolulu owned and operated by our old classmate, DAVE NELSON. He specializes in Blonds, Brunettes and Red- heads, and in his leisure time trims Hula-Hula skirts Oh my, I can see Russia now ... I must admit I'm a little scared, for I've heard--as everyone else has, about the new bomb that the two physics experts, JOYCE GATHJE and SHEILA KNAPP, have invented for Russian use. Coming back over China, 1 can see the farm experts, DALE GREENE and RAY EVANS, trying to teach the Chinese how to grow rice. They are field hands on Old Mac- Donald's Farm, owned and operated by CURT SACKETT. I was brought here through the courtesy of Warners Brother's Studio and 1 hope you will see me at your local theater in my new picture, which is Dahling. This is CAROL NICHOLS saying bye now, all you DAHLINGS. 19
