In Minneapolis they found Jim Byrne coaching the Lakers; from past records they found that since Jim came (15 years ago) they had not lost a game. At one Laker game the scientists discovered Duane Long. He was bragging about his Minnesota University football team, which won the Rose Bowl Game this year. Duane told them to go down and see the super highway built by Dayton Rud. He built it so he could make better speed within limits for it seems that Leonard Westphal, new highway patrolman, can legally speed to keep up wich him. While following Terry Bell, who was continuing Ponce de Leon's search for the Fountain of Youth, they passed over Montana, where they heard some odd noises. Upon investigation, they discovered it was only the voices of two of their former classmates, Doug Rud and Ronnie Prior. These two men now have adjacent ranches and in their spare time, they still argue their political views. Leaving these two men to argue it out alone they headed for California where several of their class- mates have made their debuts in Hollywood. Jim Delesha has prospered well with his lisping. He writes his own script for his TV comedy show, James' Lisps,’ broadcast by the WHTTW (Who Has Time to Work) Broadcasting Company on Channel 76. One of the girls of the class of '57 has become a famed movie star, namely, Joyce Vinton. Her latest movie, Love Them and Leave Them, co-starring Elvis Presley, is a great success. Arden Buxton, otherwise known as Alfred Hitchcock II, also has been suc- cessful on TV. His show is broadcast by the IHTTW (I Have Time to Work) Broadcasting Company on Channel 102. Arden's sponsor is Dr. Sprout Em’s Wart Lotion demonstrated by JoAnn Hinkle. While they were in California, they met Tom Bramble, Admiral in the U.S. Navy. Tom told them that he had recently seen David Gatewood, now a 5-star General in the U.S. Army. Tom referred them to an- other classmate, Bev Kraemer, who is now running a reducing salon. By the way, her motto is You put in on, we take it off. The men return to their original homes in Stewartville. Here they find Becky Gathje's Donut Hole Bakery-one of her national chain of Donut Hole Bakeries. Doug and Chester felt that after visiting their classmates they would like to see their school. They found that some of Lorraine Wilson’s children were already in high school. After reminiscing, each went to his home well satisfied with the success of his classmates. Annual Staff FIRST ROW, Left to Right: A. Ringen, P. Lindholm, L. Christianson, T. Fix, H. Dub- fa els, J. Vinton, R. Greene. SECOND ROW: P. Streiff, R. Gathje, A. Everts, D. Tjep- kes, J. Cottrell, M. Lecy, J. Travis, M. Long. THIRD ROW: R. Ballinger, R. Murray, J. Byrne, D. Long, Mr. Heitman. 20

Class Prophecy Extra! Extra! Successful Rocket Trip to the Moon! This is the news that made world headlines on Friday, the 13th of June, 1977. The perpetual-motion rocket, invented by Chester Oehlke and Doug Lar- son, world-famous scientists, made this spectacular trip in only 24 hours! After again reaching the earth, they visited their widely scattered classmates whom they had not seen for 20 years. In Guam they found Jim Lenn and Helen Dubbels participating in the Olympic Games. Jim is one of the U.S. track contestants. His clocked speed for running the mile is one minute. Helen is the pole vaulting contestant; she has set a new world record of 18 feet. In New Zealand they stopped to see Ar- dis Everts, who was just closing shop of her rent-a-car business. Deciding that rockets were better than cars, they headed to Antarctica where Herbert Christie and Diana Tjepkes were teaching public speaking to the natives. The rocket ship now sped on its way toward Africa, where they found Jim Hensley, U.S. ambassador to the Belgian Congo. Jim told them that Ronnie Erickson was in Southern Rhodesia for his health, so they visited him. They found that Ronnie had become a physician and is now doctoring his own ailments. His assistant, Marilyn Lecy, has adopted seven lovable native children. The first stop in Europe was Venice, where they found Rose Greene, who decided to search outside the state» for her unknown admirer. From Venice they went to Rome to see the art exhibition displayed by Judy Travis; she let them in on the confidential secret that she has been painting in the dark. The rocket ship gained speed as they overcame Peter Streiff and Dave Sackett, who are hunting human deer. They stopped at the Royal Palace in Spain where her majesty, Joyce Cottrell, is now ruling. Visiting her was Troy Fix, sultan of India, and his harem (the world's largest). The course turns north toward Paris where Lois Christianson and her husband are originating the latest Paris fashions. In Poland they found Delores Hanson composing for the aged Toscanini, When passing over the North Pole, they saw a bright flashing light. Thinking it as SOS signal, they stopped to find out what the trouble was. Finding Barbara Lowrie happily sitting on top of the world, they left her to her good fortune and headed for South America. Here in the Brazilian Jungle they found Lyle Farley and Steve Trumpold living in adjacent straw huts. Lyle has been doing a booming business making stilts for his pigmy girl friends. Steve is the head of the Pigmy Tobacco Company which pro- duces 2 million cartons a day, but it is rumored that he rolls his own. First stop when they reached the U.S. was Miami, the home of Margaret Swygman. She has been typing manuscripts for the renowned author, Carl Sandberg. They traveled along the Gulf of Mexico to find Bob Murray filling in the swamplands with sediment which the Mississippi has deposited in the Gulf of Mexico. They went up the east coast to Boston, where they watched a wrestling match. Bob Stuhr has replaced Gorgeous George. They went to visit Dick Murray, who was very enthusiastic over his new position as the coach of the women's basketball team at Vassar. The next stop was New York, where they picked up a copy of the NEW YORK TIMES and were greatly pleased to find that Virginia Griffin is the editor. They discover the headlines— Notorious Gangster Apprehended. In reading further, they were astonished to find that the notorious gangster was—not Ralph Ballinger! He was captured while trying to enter Fort Knox.. His captures was Jim Mathison, who seems to have taken Jack Webb's place. An- other article they found was about the Wrigley Spearmint Company. They noticed the name of Marilyn Nelson, who was secretary to the President. This probably pleased Marilyn because she gets all her gum free. They went to Labrador to tour Mary Jane Long's sponge factory. Mary informed them that the head of her skin diving department was Pat Lindholm. They found two former classmates in Chicago. Donna Tjepkes is president of the HWU (Housewives Union), which has been striking for shorter hours and quieter children. After a distinguished career as professor in math and general manager for the Curtis Publishing Company, Audrey Ringen has left her desk to settle down. 19
