The class was com- posed of Ava Jean Grifiith, Lavone Staehli, Evelyn Ruth Storm, Dolores Gaddis, Mae Kull, Kenneth Volkman, Lillian Wirth, Lowell Green, Alfred Bingaman, Kenneth Wilson, Floyd Kull, Fern Reel, Guin Renshaw, Irvin Thomas, Corde- lila Kite, Ervin Storm, Vale Wood, Neva Die-pholz, Letha Kearney, Mary Steele, Waldo Wiandt, Ruth Ruff. In our second week of school we were duly initiated by the upper classmen. This was held in the High School. Lillian Wirth took part in the band. The following joined the Glee Club: Ava Jean Griffith, Evelyn Ruth Storm, and Lillian Wirth. Lowell Green, Kenneth Wilson, and Alfred Bingaman were ushers for the Senior Class play. Dolores Gaddis was News Reporter. We had a get- together party at High School and each one invited 9, guest in scho-ol. Our teachers were Mr DeLauranti, Mr. Jackson, and Mrs. Grant. Mr. DeLauranti was our Class advisor. We held our picnic at Nelson Park, Decatur and everybody enjoyed themselves. When we returned in 1935 to begin our Sophomore year we found that we had lost Cordelia Kite, Ervin Storm, Vale Wood, Neva Diepholz, Lethla Kearney, Mary Steele. Faye Eileen Web- ner joined us. Later tw-o more of our -classmates left us. They were 'R!uth Ruff and Waldo Wiandt. News Reporter was Fern Reel. A Dramatic Club was organized and the follow- ing joined.: Ava Jean Griflith, Evelyn Ruth Storm, Lillian Wirth, Kenneth Wilson, Alfred Bingaman and Lowell Green. We had a Harmonica Band which consisted of: Lavone Staehli, Dolores Gaddis, Evelyn Ruth Storm, Mae Kull and Fern Reel. We had a class party Which was held at High School. Mr. Jackson was our cl-ass adviser. Miss Weber took the place' of Mrs. Grant. Lowell Green took part in the Junior Class play. Our annual school picnic was held at Pett- erson Park, Mattoon. Returning as Juniors we found that we lost Mae Kull. We gained Evelyn Ruth Storm albout the middle of the year. Mr. Jackson left us and Mr. Grifiith took his plavce. Mr. Griffith .acted as our class adviser. This year we had our first opportunity at serving in the stands at the P. T. A. meetings. We had a St. Pat- rick's party and 9, .class party 'both held at the .annual Junior- Senior banquet. which was held at the U. S. Grant Hotel in Mattoon. After the eats the Seniors were taken to the Mat- toon theatre. We had the priviledge of giving 'a class nlay which was entitled Susie Steps Out . The following were members of the Dramatic Club: Ava Jean Griffith, Faye Eileen Welbner. Lillian Wirth, Lowell Green. Kenneth Wilson, and Alfred Bingaman. Guin Renshaw was news reporter.
