8 Senior Class History The Senior Class started their ioumey through Stevensville High School in the fall of 1944. We were well initiated by the Sophomore Class and we'1l never forget the Freshman Reception. It was held on Friday, October 13. Our officers for the year were Les West, president, Beverly Hanson, vice president, Marilyn Marks, secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Cannon, class sponsor. Mary Riley and Hig Bailey were chosen as Student Council representatives. In our Sophomore year we did our best to initiate the Freshmen. The officers chosen that year were Noma Scruggs, president, Lorraine F ehrenkamp, vice president: Les West, secretary-treasurer: Mr. Gill, class sponsor: Beverly Hanson and Dick Manning, Student Council representatives. In our Iunior year we gave the Barn Dance in the fall and then plans started for the Iunior Prom. Our theme was Country Gardens. Betty Buck was chosen Prom Queen. Both dances were very successful. The officers of the year were Higgins Bailey, president: Les West, vice president, Lorraine Fehrenkamp, secretary and treasurer: Mr. Sagin, class sponsor. Noma Scruggs and Howard Rahn were our representatives to Student Council. Now in our Senior year, as we are getting ready to leave dear S. H. S., we are beginning to realize that no days are happier than high school days. We have had a lot of fun here, met many new friends and will not soon forget these pleasant memories. We would like to thank every one of the faculty, school board and all our loyal supporters for the splendid cooperation given us in our four years of high school. We appreciate every effort made for our benefit. We may be leaving now but our thoughts will always be here in Stevensville High School. Our officers for Senior year are Howard Rahn, president, Beverly Hanson, vice president: Mary Riley, secretary-treasurer, Mr. Cozad, class sponsor: Marilyn Marks and Doug Flanagin, representatives to the Student Council. Our activities this year include the publication of the annual and the Senior class play, A Case of Springtime.
