1 4 Message to the Graduates - 1957 Never forget that you are DOI alone in this world of ours. No man is an island. We are all dependent on one another for our live- lihood, our recreation, our defense, our progress, and our peace of mind. This fact--interdependence-places a great responsibility on every individual. Not only must you assume the burdens and the pleasures that are yours, but you must also be prepared to share the burdens and pleasures of your neighbors. In other words, you must be co- operative in order to be happy. Cooperativeness is a trait that your class has learned well. Many are the memories you will cherish of the activities which you have undertaken and completed successfully . . . .and cooperatively. Remember this as you ascend to your po- sition as an adult in a growing community. Within a few short years the burdens of the entire community will be on your shoulders. If the number of you that are prepared to bear these burdens is small, the task will be overwhelmingg but, if you will remember that all the citizens of the community have a responsibility to its welfare, and, if you will cooperatively assume that responsibility, no burden will be too great. As you leave the years at Stevensville High School behind you, promise yourself that You'1l Never Walk Alone. D 4

In Memoriam 1- N Hasty Ronald Horney Born October 15, 1938 Died September 23, 1956 A loving one from us has gone But still his meory lingers ou. In this school there 's a lonely space, Where no one will ever take your place. And, Ronnie, As you talk with God, on Judgement Day This is all we have to say: 'Till memory fades and life departs, You will live forever in our hearts. 6
