1' NORMAN WAYNE TOLSON Wayne Commercial Basketball 1,43 Baseball 3,45 Glee Club 1,2,3,45 Student Council 45 Band 1,2. When entertainment for a party or dance is being discussed, Wayne's name never goes unmentioned. With his good looks and voice, guitar-playing, and hip-swinging, he is The Second Elvis Presley. He is always engaged in either or both of his favorite pastimes-- teasing and talking. The songs and jokes he has created have pulled the class through many dull moments. Since basketball is the main sport for him, he has played on the varsity team quite successfully. This humorous guy deserves a tremendous amount of credit for his scholastic improvement during the past few years and also for his help in selling more than his share of yearbook ads. The Armed Forces will probably claim Wayne after graduation. They're getting a swell guy who will do his part in making the world a happier place. Lf looks and personality made the man, I'd really be a big one. JOHN ALEXANDER ULLRICH Jack Academic Yearbook Co -editor 43 Safety Patrol 4. For some reason, and Towson . . . seems to be the phrase Jack dislikes the most. While he's usually seen on the receiving end of the teasing, he can dish it out too. Since Jack entered our class in the junior year, he has proven himself a valuable member in his schoolwork and claw activi- ties. His trait of becoming serious over a job is not easily surpas- sed. As Co-editor of the yearbook, he has spent many hours work- ing to make it a success. Known for his neat appearance, Jack loves clothes. His black sweater will long be remembered by his classmates. Schoolwork and his father's motel consume most of his time. We know Jack's personality and character will pave his way to success in his chosen profession as a dentist. The ideal world--full of people like me! Mgr' iii iff? JACK HARRY WESTON llJackll Baseball l,2,3,4g Soccer 1,2,3,45 Safety Patrol 1,2,3,45 May Court Representative 2 ,3. This industrious lad is one of the most popular in our class. I-lis friendly attitude and good looks won him the title of Mr. S.H.S. this year. He can usually be found in the homeroom deeply engrossed in a hot rod book, discussing customizing ideas for his car, or enter- taining the class with his latest hunting episode. Jack is the school errand boy and chauffer. He is willing to run any errand for anyone at any time. Everyone wonders how Jack manages to keep his school grades so high, work after school, and take a correspondence course in electronics. The field of electronics is gaining a conscientious and able student who will some day reach the top. If brains were dynamite, I couldn't blow my nose. 15

CLIFFORD IRWIN THOMPSON Cliff Commercial Class Secretary 35 Band 2,3. If a tumult of laughter is heard coming from the senior home- room, you can be sure Cliff is responsible. This natural-born comedian can twist any event into a humorous affair with his wise cracks, stupid poems, and inimitable impersonations. His good grades which keep him on the honor roll, show a seriousness toward his schoolwork even though he spends a great deal of his time just messing around. In his favorite class, bookkeeping, Cliff has a straight A average. It is still a mystery how he can receive the highest grade on a test without studying. Fighting with Jeannie, teasing girls, cutting up with Mr. Ro- manition, and dancing take up Cliff's spare time. This fellow is a whiz on the dance floor! All this adds up to an A-l guy with personality plus. Here's hoping Cliff's future is as happy and gay as he has made our high school years. There are only two handsome men on earth.
