Walt is the guy most likely to become The Second Frank Buck. He would rather him: than eat. A favorite pastime for him is re- lating one of the humorous events that happened to him on a hunting trip. He has proven himself a good leader by sewing as Class Presi- dent this year. His earnest indulgence in class and school under- takings has many times proved his worth as a worker. Although Walt hasn't been able to participate in varsity sports because of his Work after school, he is always willing to play his hardest on an intrarnural team. The class will always remember his many announcements and the field trips to the Denny farm. In the future Walt plans to study agriculture in college, and then to continue farming. Here's hoping for great success in your future, F arrner Denny. NORMA JEAN ANDERSON Jeannie Commercial Fieldball l,2,3,4g Basketball 1,2,3,45 Softball l,2,3,4g Student Council Representative 1,25 Class President 2, Basketball Queen 2,35 Student Council Secretary 3, Class Treasurer 4, Co-Captain Fieldball team 4. Light brown hair, sparkling eyes, and gay personality, that's Jeannie. Her wit and goodjokes always seem to come in at agood time to liven up a class. As a star athlete, Jeannie has led S.H.S. to victory many times. One of her admirable traits is her ability to keep her tem- per playing any sport. In the commercial field, Jeannie is extremely competent and efficient. In her spare time, Jeannie is most likely to be found fighting with Mr. Romanition or dancing. She has a knack for makingthe most of any situation and can talk her way around anything. Jeannie likes Home Economics and is a whiz at sewing, While her future is Luidecided, we feel sure her friendly man- r combined with her efficiency will continue to bring her iness and success in what ever life holds for her. oks like an angel and acts like one too, but you never can e at an angel will do. ELINOR ANNE CIOUGH 'Sissy Commercial Volleyball 1, Assistant Magazine Campaign Manager 3, Calendar Committee 3, Magazine Campaign Manager 4. Sissy is one of the happiest girls you have ever seen. This is the girl with such a zest for living that she walks with a bounce and talks with a zip. Give her fifteen minutes and without JK' previous preparation, she can fill you in on every piece of news and gossip available. She is usually seen doing some work in the office. You can often see Sissy enjoying her two favorite pastimes, which are cutting up and dancing. Always game for a little devilment, Sis never turns down a chance to laugh. Along with her good-natured self is a serious and depend- able attitude toward her work. Her background in office practice, typing and bookkeeping plans an interesting future for her. When she's around we can't be sad, she's broken the heart of many a lad. NANCY CAROL CROUCH Crunchy Commercial Class President 1, Fieldball 1,45 Softball 1,43 Student Council Representative 3,4g Student Council Secretary-Treasurer 4, Glee Club 3,45 Safety Patrol 4. Crunchy is one of our most vivacious students. She always takes an extremely active part in class activities. Her selling ability has been proven in the past two years by her morning job, selling school supplies. With her bright smile and fast talk she can usually talk you into buying supplies you don't need. A lot of her spare time is spent arguing with Mr. Zakarian. Nancy is another very good seamstress in our class. Her natural homemaking talent has helped her win good grades in Home Economics. She is a member of the varsity fieldball squad and is also a whiz on the dance floor. Her love for music has made her a good soprano in the Glee Club. With all her other activities, Cruch has found time to be an active member of the Student Council and, in general, an A-1 class member, We know that she will continue to be capable and reliable in anything she undertakes. Sports are her main interest. I-ler tactful playing in fieldball, basketball, andf softball have raised the score for S.H.S. many times. Joanie likes to do work for others--or so it seems. She can ua ually be found in the commercial room doing some work for o e of the teachers or running an errand for Mr. Zakarian. W The good grades Joanie has received are due to her determi - tion to do her best at any job. She is a good seamstress as she has proven many times in I-lor e Ec. With her devilish grin and likeable personality, she is alwaus ready to dish out a laugh. Joanie's future is undecided now, but we're sure she'll come k through with flying colors in anything she undertakes. l High school days are fun but don't compare with high school NWUPX C . nights. 4 I xl HARRY RONALD HORNEY Ronnie General Soccer 1,2 ,3 ,4, Basketball 1,23 Baseball 1,2,33 Glee Club 1,2,3, Safety Patrol 3,4. A happy fellow at heart and a valued friend to all was Ronnie. His thoughtful ways and radiant personality were just a couple of the wonderful qualities he possessed. Being a natural-born athlete, he participated in and loved all high school sports. While baseball and soccer were two of his fa- vorites, his ability to play any sport was not easily surpassed. Ron.nie's tremendous improvement is his attitude toward school- work was proven by his honor-roll report cards. His ready smile, good looks, keen sense of humor, and mischief making made him one of the most popular guys around. A final tribute to you, Ronnie, and may God keep you with Him in peace. NANCY LOUISE LEWIS IlNanCyl1 Ac Volleyball 2,35 Newspaper Staff 1,2 ,3 ,4. Nancy, one of the most serious members of our claw, has brightened our school days with her quiet, sweet, and frien personality. This seriousness in school is proven by the fac at she remained on the honor roll despite an eight-month absence due to illness. Creative writing is one of Nancy's outstanding abilities. Using her imagination and originality she has written many fine short stories and poems. Among her many interests lie sports and art. Volleyball ranks highest in the sports field. Until her illness she played on the L ff varsity volleyball team. Nancy plans to get married shortly after graduation, and also continue writing. With her ability we're sure her future will shine with success. All good things must come to an end. It's a shame this was a good one. ll .WW 7 my
