MIDDLEWEIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT FOOTBALL: Ray Flavin, Conrad Gardiner, Eric Sparkman, Greg Cooper, Jim Brown Jim Hunter, Steve Kuse, Brad Leinenger, Ed Haley Ccoachj. MIDDLE ROW: Robin Penfold, David Snell Jeff Alexander, Greg Lawrence, Mark Morgan, Eric Pierre, Tom Webber, Dave Bridgewater. Coach Ed Haley said that this was the best middleweight team he has ever coached. They were undefeated with one tie after some con- vincing victories over Pierce and Crary. They had a fine backfield consisting of Dave Snell, Joe Gwin, and Ernie Gavrilides. The team presented Mr. Haley with a special award in appreciation of his fine coaching job. Mason's Heavyweight team won a hard 1974 HEAVYWEIGHT RECORD fought game over Pierce in the third game of Mason 6 Pierce the season. Although that was their only Mason 0 Crary victory, they were in every game to the very Mason 12 Pierce end. Tony Salfi and Dave Macki were the Mason 12 Crary teams captains. Coach Castle was a little worried when they won their Hrst game by only six points but after a 27-0 victory over Crary he knew they were on their way. On their way was putting it mildly. They were undefeated for the third time in three years and the defense didn't allow a single point. Lex Roy was selected the team's most valuable player at the football banquet.
