Eager participants in the eighth grade bloclc class are Bill Healy LN-M' Tony Wood, and Garry Moses. inth grade block split into English, civics Something new aroused the interest of ninth grade students with the split of civics and English classes. Most ninth graders felt they were able to learn more extensively about English and Civics with two separate- classes instead of the combined block of time. Several new teachers were added to the staff in this area. Another change involved eighth grade block classes. Instead of the farmer one hour daily for integrated study of language arts and social studies, the blocks were extended to two hours. The return to full days of school made this possible.
