Tom Mayne checks his bowling scores wih Cory Messer, tall league secretary. n Bowlers strike again, with occasional gutters Bowling Club members took to the lanes at the 300 Bowl each Monday after school to try their hands at getting strikes and spares. The first league began in September and the second in February, with nearly 200 enthusiastic bowl- ers. Each league bowled for 10 weeks. Secretaries Cory Messer, for the first league and Todd Ambs, for the second, were in charge of figuring out weekly scores and keeping track of individual and team averages. Todd earned high praise for his fine job, especially since he was the first seventh grader to ever hold this position. Trophies were awarded to first place teams and top boy and girl bowlers in each league. Sponsors included Mr. Dave Allen, Miss Kath- leen Hendry, Mr. Paul Larnpkin, Mrs. Diane Tong, and Mr. lay Williams. bowling league C121
