'ii' v ' ' ' 33 A xx tt rtists develop creative abilities A chance to Work on different types of projects, using their own creativity, kept Art Club members enthusiastic about their weekly meetings. The group planned and organized their own activities, Working with all kinds of media to help develop their artistic abilities. Much improvement in die students' tech- nique was noticed by sponsor, Mrs. Barbara Cicchelli. She helped guide them in their work while allowing them the freedom to create their own individual designs. Many different pro- jects were completed., with exciting features in each one. Although the group was fairly small, the members had a real interest in learning to express themselves artistically, and devoted a great deal of time to their projects.

for would-be actors Eager, stage-struck students and interested, tireless teachers added up to a Drama Club with lots of action this year. The group organ- ized in the fall and got right underway with a play for the holidays, Setting Santa Straight. Under the direction of their sponsors, Mrs. Susan Poole and Mr. Dave Reschke, the cast shared their play with children oi the Fairlawn Center at Pontiac State Hospital, who loved the performance. But acting is not everything in a play. The backstage crew Worked hard at creating colorful costumes, building scenery, gather- ing props, and applying make-up. Altogether, it was a real good scene. Drama Club. FRONT ROW: Don Seeterlin, Kathy Checkley, Debi Kazalcos, Karen Anderson, Terri Horton, Carol Fournier, Sue Sebring, Priscilla Theriault. SECOND ROW: Ruth French, Beth Stireman, Paula Myers, Lori Burns, Leslie Spaysky, Debi Bradley, Christina Anderson, Debra Michael, Leah Roberts, Sandy Mendham, Myra Iohnson, Diane Wheeler, Chris Carrier. Wire sculpturing can be a very tricky business, but Mrs. Barbara Cicchelli, Art Club sponsor, doesn't seem to be having too much difficulty working on her project.
