This was the motto for 22 earth science students Who, under the leader- ship of Mr. David Heiple, spent a good part of the year making preparations for a geologic journey to Boulder, Colorado. Working out in the gym and participating in overnight camp- outs to keep fit were all a part of the schedule. The creative group sponsored activities to pay for the expedition. Besides a dance, car washes, a Swiss steak dinner, and a Tag Day proved profitable. For another group of student scientists, ex- citement mounted as their rocket gained alti- tude. Higher and higher it went, its size diminish- ing by every second in the eyes of the viewer. When this group gets together for a game of basket- ball at Teen Club, it can prove very exciting. Below them, Everett Mero and Clay Porter await their chance on the bar. - Tl: .54 Lp A . it it is Teen Club Teens participate in recreation The lively 250 members of Teen Club used their energy every Tuesday evening for a rec.- night in the gym. A variety of activities included tumbling, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and other group games. Gymnastic apparatus was used to perfect routines and stunts or just for enjoyment. People with a little more soul brought records for dancing or just listening. Outside activities were planned for Satur- days by Mrs. Cindy Potter, sponsor, and the advisory committee. They organized projects and arranged the schedule. Refreshments were sold by volunteers to revive the ambition of the hungry members. The two hours each week were filled with pleasure for everyone. 44
