Chorus, Choirs Harmony yields cheer Harmony and happiness filled the air When the eighth and ninth grade choruses got to- gether. These combined groups consisted of 295 members, and sang music ranging from early madrigals to contemporary pop tunes, Important events in which the vocalists parti- cipated, included the Waterford Township Choir- Festival and the Iunior High Festival. ln addition to the full choruses, there were two smaller groups, the eighth grade Select Choir and the ninth grade Chamber Choir. The Chamber Choir consisted of 45 members and the Select Choir of 40 members. Both groups Were chosen by voice testing and knowledge of music. The harmony must be perfect when you're preparing for a concert. Rousmg the enthusiasm of the crowd and the determination of the team, they really live up to their name. Concentration is a needed quality for first rate drummers. Rich Hager, Joe Plummer, and Brian Weil keep a careful eye on the music, hoping to avoid any mistakes. A fanfare from trumpeters Ron Strahm, Mark Zemke, and John Danules adds a note of excitement to the begin- ning of a stirring march. 33
