Industrial Arts, Physical Education Manual arts, sportsg a step to the future Math lectures during gymnastics? With rice pud- ding on the side? Mason's most all-around teacher is obviously Mrs. Norma Clark. 22 Perspective and dimension took shape on paper in the hands of drafting students. As skills developed, so did an interesting variety of unique plans and blueprints. Projects and contest entries led to prizes awarded to Wood shop workers. Starting with only a block of Wood, hyclroboats, cars, and rockets were some of the many projects con- structed in the class. In metal shop, such articles as magazine racks, candle holders, and even a cat cage emerged. Everyone kept fit with the physical fitness courses offered to all grades. The program for the year ranged from stimulating calisthenics to all kinds of group games and sports. Basketball or cage ball anyone? Both sports are specialties -of gym teachers Mrs. Carol Ferguson and Mrs. Charlene Wright.

MLlSlC, Special Servigesy Student 'TC8,Cl'1C1'S Mariners share knowledge Mrs. Ann Rookus points out the fine art of the proper' use of an overhead projector to student teach- ers Mr. Frank Day, Miss Jo Ann Pressnell, and Mrs. Jo-anne Rottenberk, but unlike Mr. Robert Line, she remembers to plug in the cord. Surely one of the attentive student teachers in his group, Miss Paula Serra, Mr. Greg Butler. Mr. Alan Karpa, or 1VIr. Ken Frenkle, will correct this before they try to begin the movie, won't they? Not only did the entire faculty and student body come to Mason to gain knowledge, but also to develop that knowledge and share it with others. Working with small groups, special educa- tion teachers found more time to help each individual, while trying to promote better learn- ing and reading capacity. With the aid ot the reading consultant, many more students found the importance of improved reading skills. Music directors aided their students by show- ing them how to develop their talents and make the most of their musical aptitude. Student teachers also gained valuable experi- ence that was essential to their teaching careers. 24 Y -,-.. f' -'itil' Z., 4 in -if
