Language Arts, Social Studies Old, new worlds investigated Events of yesterday and today were stud- ied in block classes. Explorinq the past they searched for facts concerning the history of America. Examination ot the modern day World included a study of drug abuse, complete with a survey of part of the school. Papier rnache marionettes illustrated folklore, fairy tales, myths, and legends in puppet shows. Actors and actresses had their chance to ex- pound When English classes presented plays, and courtroom drama came alive in mock trials, to show the ways of justice. Plotting their escape? Mrs. Sarah Reabe, Mr. John Auger and Mrs. Marion Novess trace an exciting route around the world. Concern for social problems is shown in a variety of Ways. Canned goods, contributed by students for the annual 'n 4-its Goodfellow drive, are sorted in-to bas- kets by Mr. Robert Harper, Mliss Ann Boode, Mrs. Harriett Hoffarth, and Mr. Hal Farah. A bulletin board, reflecting students' views of the topics of the day makes an interesting backdrop for Mrs. Mary Jo Smith, Miss Mary Kroupa, Mr. James Matteson, and Mr. Gil Waters.
