Their finest hour was in the first game, in which Crary was severly beaten 24-6. Coach Ed Haley and his mighty middle- weights finished the year with a satisfying record of 2-2. They pulled off some big Wins against Pierce, but unfortunately Crary was on the Mason schedule, and tarnished the mid- dle weight image. Unable to pull outof their slump, the heavy- weights ended the season with a heartbreaking U-5 record. In spite of their bad year, Coach Don Castle commended his players. Roger Allen made some good runs for us. We also had some good defensive plays by Mike Griffis and Dennis Starnes, he pointed out. Oh, Well, there's always next year.
