Say cheese! This year's yearbook and newspaper staffs relied on a specialized group of photographers. Senior members Bruce Wagman, Glen Terry, Jody Messer and Sam Stewart were all in charge of their own department. Juniors Jim Maltsber- ger and Jim Grebner along with sopho- mores Bill Baumgartener and Linda Minkel learned new techniques through experience. There is more behind a picture than saying cheese and clicking the camera. The members of the yearbook and paper staffs had to arrange to have a photog- rapher meet with the people to have their picture taken. When a roll of film was completed it was developed and put on proof sheets. The pictures wanted were then chosen from the proof sheets and printed. For Sam Stewart, Tom Cushman and Bob Lampert another day is another set of pictures to be taken. Jim Maltsberger and lim Grebner help the exchange student Wong Mon Hoe to adjust the enlarger,

C Mr. Martin helps Sid Spelts design an editorial page na Cunningham and Linda Lanouette how pages are pasted up during one of the many Saturday worn sessions at Mr, Martin's cabin. cliaider Generationu gets its start Due to the lack of experienced staff members and confusing conditions at the Central building, Stevens did not have a school newspaper until January 5. The paper was not even named until the third issue when it became the Raider Gener- ation from a suggestion by Brad Ander- son. The Generators fstaff membersj tried to make students and teachers aware of what was going on in the total environ- ment with their articles. All issues fea- tured editorials on education so that staff members could express their opinions on education at Stevens. Other subjects fea- tured were pollution control, rock groups, and youth gathering places, as well as school news.
