Stevens High School offered two classes, D.E. QDiversified Educationl and D.O. QDiver- sified Occupationsb, where the students were able to learn by actual participation. During the morning there were two actual classes of D,E. and one class of D,O. There were dem- onstrations and problems in marketing, sales, advertising, and other aspects of commercial life. Guest speakers came to the classes and talked to them about jobs and professions. After classes in the morning the students went to their respective places of business. Mr. Halla, teacher and supervisor, checked on the students at their jobs. He talked with the employers and thus gave the students a rating for their Work and dependability. The students thus earned while they learned. Practice makes perfect Ralph Mumm keeps the shelves in the South Canyon Drug Store well stocked. Mr. Halla answers the many questions that often arise in the Distributive Education Class.
