They,re off and running They're off and running and jumping and throwing. The girls track team that is. The team took part in three track meets In these they placed 4th, 2nd and 3rd, re- spectively. They practiced in Sioux Park during good weather and in the gym during bad. Five members participated in the state track meet in Mitchell. These five girls were Arlene Balado, Nancy Pendergrass, Cherri Cannon, Jennifer Dahl and Ann Span- gel. The 440 yard relay team placed fourth. Packing for their trip to Mitchell, where they will participate in the state track meet, are Arlene Balado and Nancy Pendergrass, Cherri Cannon keeps in shape during rainy weather by practicing in the gym. F A opens career World During the past year, the club heard speakers from the National College of Busi- ness, and Stewart's Beauty College. At one of the first meetings, the girls of the FSA put on a style show as a part of the pro- gram. There were approximately 35 girls in FSA and all were required to be taking some kind of business course in school. Girls were able to join the club if they were taking typing, shorthand, bookkeeping, or clerical office practice.
