Drama lub brings plays to life Members of Drama Club were busy this year staging two plays and working on the annual variety show, Raider Rarities. Hours of hard work and practice went into the one-act play, The Brick and the Rose . The play received an award at the state one-act play contest. Three SHS students received state awards. They were Jan Aldrich, Bill Lockwood, and Terry Kennard. The four receiving awards at the regional contest were Jan Aldrich, Terry Kennard, Jim Didier, and Larry Kaul. 196 A , yy. HLove77 is great except in tennis Tennis is becoming a popular all around sport. All you need is a tennis racket, ball and the time. lt is an inexpensive but worthwhile sport. ln the past the boys have taken part in competitive tennis but this is the first year the girls have partici- pated. There was only intramural competition within the school. All of the girls took part in a school wide tourna- ment. Patti Scheib and Liz Raabe, the tournament champions, took part in a state wide meet in Mitchell. The girls who took part were under the guidance of Mrs. Luanne Wilson.
