Although there were two schools in Rapid y City, there was still one thing that they were united in--the Rapid City Tumbling Team. Mr. Knutson, the adviser, let anyone with ability, spirit, and enthusiasm join. The 69-70 tumbling team included from Stevens: fSrs.J Greg Behrens and Dan Ness, QJrs.D Pat Beaudett, Griff Mead, Ken Stome, Rick Hadd, Ralph Murnrn, Lance Jorde, Craig Angel, and Steve Hanson, Qmanagerh. During April and May, eight boys could have been seen practicing their co-ordination, backhand, slams, drives, and overheads. Doug Oltmans, Bob Moe, Dave Withee, Steve Rich- ard, Joel Green, Gary Tisthammer, Joe Val- ette, and Mike Jung were the members of the Stevens Tennis team. When the weather was nice, the team practiced down at the Sioux Park Tennis courts, otherwise they practiced in the gym. The team didn't have a full schedule this year, in fact, they only played two teams, Central and Pierre. The record at the end of the year was: Pierre - 6 Stevens - l Central - 5 Stevens - 2 Pierre - 6 Stevens - 1 Central - 3 Stevens - 4 Central - 7 Stevens - 0 vm-
