FOREWORD In preparing for our iourney through life there are certain traits which, added to character, simplify great- ly the complications which are sure to confront us. Through choice or circumstances it has been our lot to attend Stevens High School, and complain as we same- times may, we realize that our lot is an exceedingly fortunate one. Not only are Stevens' athletic teams outstanding, but the coaches and teammates are the type to impart some needed trait. Not only are Stevens' musical organizations the best in the area, but par- ticipating in them, one cannot help but gain some help in developing the esthetic side of his character. Not only does Stevens offer a great variety of extracurricu- lar activities-dramatics, art, student council and many others, but each of these is designed to play a prominent part in the development of the individuality of each student, not only do Stevens' students attain the highest of scholastic standards, but the teachers here have much to give beyond the bare rudiments of learning-the wisdom of a life well lived, spicing the common spirit which prevails throughout the school and is so distinctly the spirit of Stevens. Upon graduation from Stevens High School one has been more than adequately pre- pared in mind, body, and character to travel the rough road ahead, to travel THE UPWARD TRAIL.
