'J fs FOREWORD Education inevitably must have the classroom as its origin and focal point. It is here that we obtain a thor- ough training in the sciences. languages. and arts. Granted that formal education is derived from the classroom, it is the theory of the l960 Steuben staff that a great deal of the knowledge necessary to exist in these complex times is garnered from those activities which are associated with the school. The 1960 Steuben staff has therefore pursued this as its theme and in word and picture here presents the proof that learning is. indeed, a continuous process in the classroom, in school-sanctioned co-curricular activities, in part-time occupations, and in the companionship of fellow students. 1959-1960 was an outstanding year for S.H.S. lts students were acclaimed near and far. We invite you to scan these pages and recall how you. too, were an integral part in establishing that Learning is a Con- tinuous Process. .nut ' x Q '. mf A 1 I Y ' v.'-15 4 1 'Q' Q . i 4 4' D f 1 gf' ' U -...ff- A . - EARNING is A -O - HL' I 'X X' NUNU 'avhg rr QL, . ,. .fn A X he PRO I .
