HASLUP, DEAN 1950 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Stetson ' s College of Law, established in 1900 and now regarded as one of the finest law colleges in the south. For many years the College of Law occupied a part of Science Hall. Several years ago, however, because of the larger enrollment of students, it was moved to the former athletic office building of ihe Naval Air Station. The College of Law is a member of the Association of American Law Schools and is approved by the Council of Legal Education of the American Bar Association. Its purpose is to give to young men and women the training and instruction that will qualify them for active duties m the office and courtroom. A high conception of the ethics of the legal profession and the citizenship responsibilities of the profession is stressed.
