Page Thirty I 9 4 6 bfivixfx ww N QQ. ivawxffvfbfavsv essex secretaries in the now successfully gained fight rgainst cancer Such good news pleased us immen ely but better was to follow Ruth V in Cott Arnold stated had inherited a fortune and was now social head of the Van Cort aristocracy We were very impressed by this and immediately departed to look her up VU e found her in the midst of wealth and glory but she was still the same swell kid She greeted us warmly and made us at home While we dined datntly on cake and tea she told us that Mary Cotter and Florence Sass had established a well known beauty salon at the Metropolitis Dolores Tardenico was furthering her fathers agent and Lorraine LoSc1uto after 1 brief sci entific career had settled down to married life just then Katherine Harrington was ushered in She was very excited over a piece of news paper she was waving Barbara opened it and there on the front page was a picture of Dori Teece Beneath it read RANDOLPH GIRL WINS TITLE OF WORLD CHAMPION OF SPEED TYPING I also noticed that it was wrrtten by Katherine and when I asked her where she worked she told me she was a re porter on the Daily Mann We spent another hour just talking then we bade them goodbye and returned to our suite Both of us were rather wearv from the days excitement so we decided to just drive around for the evening A large sign outside of MOTHER HUBBARDS CUBBARD attracted our attention It read Come in and Try Our Super Special Stewart Spaghetti Barbara and I just couldnt resist the delicious scent that drifted frcm the open window so we parked the ctr ind entered 'Ihe dish wis so good that we asked to sec the chef in order to con gratulate him on the excellence of his food Imagine cur surprise to see Kenny Stewart poring over a large kettle of spaghetti H was very busy so we just told h1m how much we enjoyed his food and left Barbara glanced at her wrist watch and saw that we only had five minutes to get back to the radio station to broadcast this to you so we started off at a great pace Now Barbara usually is a careful driver but as I said we were in a dreadful hurry so we just flew by the red lights I cop We slowed down md the officer drew up with 1 frown He prepared to give us 1 ticket but when he saw who it was he laughed And no wonder it was Frank Dockendorff My eyes nearly bulged out of my head I stared so hard but he convinced us that every thing was on the up and up and just to show us there were no hard feelings he escorted us to the radio station So everyone if we sound a little breathless Im sure youll understand how rushed we have been ust the same we both think its swell the way our class turned out and we want everyone to know how proud we are of him And now I think we better sign off until ten years from now and then we can see if this is true joan Doherty 46 Barbara Hastings 46 cv-O x Qffyio Q- , A sc X A ' A .
